Privacy Policy

Most Touch Grass data lives in Chrome on your machine: blocked sites, daily limits, session timers, and whether you're currently blocked. We don't sync that to the cloud for the free tier. Uninstall the extension or clear its storage in Chrome settings to wipe local data.

When you unlock by photo, the image is sent to our API for a yes/no outdoors check, then discarded on our side after the verdict. We do not build a photo library of your questionable life choices. Verification uses OpenAI's API; images are also subject to OpenAI's privacy policy.

Pro is purchased on this website, not inside the extension. When you buy Pro, we collect what checkout needs: typically your email (to send the activation code), payment status, and subscription identifiers from our payment processor. We email you a code; entering it in the extension links Pro to your install. We store enough to validate codes, manage billing, and prevent obvious abuse. We do not sell your email.

This marketing site may log basic server data (IP, user agent, requested URL) for security and uptime. We do not run ad trackers or sell visitor lists. If we add analytics later, we'll update this page.

Besides OpenAI for verification, we use infrastructure and payment providers needed to run the site and sell Pro (e.g. hosting, email delivery, payments). They process data only to provide those services to us, under their own policies.

Verification images: not kept after the request. Local extension settings: until you clear them. Billing and activation records: kept as long as needed for subscriptions, taxes, fraud prevention, and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized when we reasonably can.

Use the free tier without paying. For Pro, use an email you control. Request access or deletion of account-related data by emailing us; some records we must keep for legal or billing reasons. See our Terms and Refund Policy.
